    Hi, Elisabeth! Boy, what I noticed was the number of men, compared to the number of women. Yes, there were women in some of the scenes, the streets, at least in this video, appear to be an overwhelmingly male domian. Whew.

    Vielen vielen Dank! This made me so nostalgic for Wien! I agree with Janis above–so many crowds, and mostly men! This seems to have been made during some demonstration. Perhaps May Day? Of course, 1923 was not a good time for anyone in Vienna–inflation, housing shortages, political upheavals. But it’s so interesting to see these films when you know exactly what those places are like, because you’ve stood in the very same spots!
